Agios Nikolaos, the capital of Lasithi, is a city that uniquely combines traditional elements with modern luxuries. The city is built at the eastern end of Crete and the northwest side of the Mirabello Bay. The jewel of the city is Lake Voulismeni located in the centre of town and joining the sea by a narrow channel.
